1lb uncooked rotini pasta
1lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
6 button mushrooms, sliced
3 to 4 cups of your favourite tomato pasta sauce
6oz cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup sour cream
6oz mozzarella cheese, grated
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Heat the oven to 350F.
Lightly grease a 9" x 13" dish.
Boil pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set to one side.
At the same time, in a separate pan, cook ground beef with the onion until no longer pink.
Add the mushrooms and garlic.
Stir in the pasta sauce and simmer for 15 minutes. Season, as needed.
Layer the ingredients into the dish. Use half the pasta, all the cheddar cheese, all the sour cream, half the sauce, the remaining pasta, all the mozzarella cheese, the remaining sauce and top with the grated parmesan cheese.
Cook for 30 to 40 minutes until bubbly and piping hot.
