Eight Ways To Quickly Increase Your Energy


1.  Eat foods that will provide energy.  For example, yogurt with nuts or peanut butter on whole grain crackers.

2.  Laugh.  Levels of stress hormones decrease during bouts of laughter, it improves blood pressure and flow and it boosts your immune system.


3.  Go for a quick 10 minute walk outside.  Walking improves your mood and energy levels.

4.  Drink water.  Slight dehydration can leave you feeling lethargic.


5.  Do some stretches.  It increases energy by decreasing muscle discomfort.

6.  Deep breathing.  Breathing from the diaphragm gets blood pumping which also boosts energy.


7.  Listen to music or sing out loud.  Music can lift your spirits, reduce your stress and quickly energizes you.

8.  Try aromatherapy.  Citrus scents (such as lemons or grapefruit) are revitalizing as they trigger energy producing hormones in the body.
