31 Days of Autumn {Day 13}: Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Delicious and simple.  


12 oz cranberries
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
freshly squeezed orange juice to equal 1 cup (approximately 3 - 4 oranges)


1.  Dissolve sugar in orange juice in a medium saucepan over medium heat.  

2.  Stir in the cranberries and cinnamon.

3.  Cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid has reduced, about 15 - 20 minutes.  You will hear the cranberries pop as they cook.  

4.  Remove from heat and place into a bowl.  The sauce will thicken upon cooling.
