Here are some ideas to help keep your attitude where you need it each day, so your family can benefit from a calm, patient mom:
This is a huge factor for moms. When we are tired, we are grumpy with our children, even if we start the day with the best of intentions. Try to aim for 7 - 8 hours of sleep a night.
Take time to move each day. Exercise is an excellent stress buster and a great way to connect and have fun with your children.
Hug your children. Hugs do wonders for our well-being. Hormones are released during a hug which heal feelings of anger and promote feelings of trust and bonding. Hugs also lower our blood pressure and help release tension in our bodies.
Listen to Music
Listening to music you enjoy and is uplifting to your spirit causes your brain to release dopamine which makes you feel happy.
Eat Real Food
Have fresh fruit, vegetables and healthy snacks ready to eat so you are feeding your body with good ingredients to help it do its job properly. Real foods have vitamins, minerals and other nutrients which are lacking in prepackaged goods.
